Worshipful Art

Art tells stories. In churches and on rocks and in catacombs, art tells about how saints raised people up from the dead, or healed them from illnesses. Art, as a narrative, tells the story of heaven and hell. In many pieces, the Christian story of Mary is told. There are many Madonna and Child paintings. Rome is noted for all the story paintings. On the Cistine Chapel, the paintings are stretched and altered to look natural so far below. Astrological characters are found on Italian ceilings: Jupiter, Neptune, Gemini. All of it is beautiful, and amazing in its execution.
